Assistant Professor of Cross-Cultural, Ethnic, or International Psychology
Transylvania University

Transylvania University invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Cross-Cultural, Ethnic, or International Psychology, to begin September 2009. The successful applicant will be capable of teaching General Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods in addition to courses within the specialty area and will occasionally teach in the University’s core liberal arts program. Teaching load is three courses per semester plus one course in May Term (3-3-1). Transylvania University is an independent, residential liberal arts institution with approximately 1150 students, committed to building a faculty that reflects the diversity of American society. We seek candidates who are committed to undergraduate education and to a research program incorporating collaboration with undergraduate students. Bingham Awards for Excellence in Teaching may provide substantial salary supplements for exceptional candidates or smaller start-up awards for recent Ph.D.s. Preference will be given to those candidates with teaching experience who have a Ph.D. in psychology or, if ABD, will have completed their degree by Fall 2009. The deadline for application is October 30, 2008.
