The Society for Personality and Social Psychology has established a fund to increase diversity within social and personality psychology and to create a climate that supports and sustains a diverse community.

As part of this initiative, the SPSP Diversity and Climate Committee announces competitions for the Graduate Travel Award and the Undergraduate Registration Award for the 2009 conference in Tampa, Florida.

DIVERSITY FUND GRADUATE TRAVEL AWARDS

Eligible graduate students are invited to apply for travel awards to attend the SPSP 2009 conference. Travel awards will cover any conference-related expenses up to a maximum of $500, including transportation, lodging, food, and conference registration.

SPSP is an international organization and will consider applications from students both inside and outside the United States. All applicants should explain how their participation at the conference advances SPSP's goal of enhancing diversity. We anticipate making up to 24 travel awards. The deadline is November 4, 2008.

DIVERSITY FUND UNDERGRADUATE REGISTRATION AWARDS

Eligible undergraduate students are invited to apply for an award that will cover registration costs for the SPSP 2009 conference. We anticipate making up to 30 awards.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the awards have been granted, but no later than January 12, 2009.

For all eligibility and application details, please visit the Awards section of the SPSP Conference web site: http://www.spspmeeting.org/

See you in Tampa!
