Exercise for Dealing with a Pandemic

The health district is southeastern Idaho is conducting an exercise to prepare to deal with a pandemic. The exercise will mostly be online in the form of a blog. Each day, a new part of the unfolding scenario will be posted, and people will be able to post comments about how such a pandemic would affect them. The people running the exercise are especially interested in hearing from psychologists and how they would respond or think others are likely to respond, which is why I'm sending this email to the listserv. As social and personality psychologists, we are in an excellent position to provide this kind of feedback and help improve the response to such an outbreak.

If you have some extra time in the next few weeks (the exercise will run until the end of July), click on the following link, read the scenario, and post a comment:

Different health districts often work together and share information with each other, at both the state and national level. So even if you do not live in Idaho, providing feedback to this exercise may eventually inform the health department where you live.

Thank you for your time.
