The UNIVERSITY of OREGON Psychology Department is searching for a Visiting Assistant Professor for the academic year 2008/2009 to teach in its psychology major program at the OSU-Cascades Campus in Bend, Oregon. Area of expertise is flexible, but preference will be given to candidates who can teach in two or more concentrations of psychology (e.g., social and cognitive, development and abnormal). The successful candidate will join a small group of researchers and teachers in the beautiful Oregon Cascades and will also be considered for a tenure-track position that is expected to open in 2009. Primary responsibilities include teaching of five undergraduate courses over three academic quarters and supervision of undergraduate students involved in research. Opportunities for research are provided by a newly furnished suite of lab rooms and a community participant sample. Completion of a Ph.D. by fall 2008 is expected.
