To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of Dr. Igor Grossmann (Wisdom and Culture Lab, University of Waterloo) to request that the following two postdoctoral fellowship announcements be circulated to your membership. Both positions may be of interest to recent or upcoming PhDs working in social psychology, cultural psychology, and judgment and decision-making.
(1) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cultural Psychology, Measurement, and Wise Decision-Making: The Wisdom and Culture Lab invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship on the Wise Judgment Consortium, an international research initiative examining how people across cultures decide what is wise, reasonable, and effective in complex social situations. The fellow will help develop psychometric measures, longitudinal diary studies, within-person experiments, and intervention tools across a 20-country consortium. (2) Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Decision-Making and Cultural Narratives: A second position to join a multi-society project examining how cultural narratives shape behavior in canonical economic and coordination games, culminating in a ManyLabs-style intervention study. The work sits at the intersection of decision science, behavioral economics, cultural psychology, and computational social science, including multilingual LLM topic modelling with human-in-the-loop validation.
