The Center for Cognitive and Social Neuroscience at the University of Chicago invites applications for a full-time Research Project Professional position. The Research Project Professional is responsible for a federally-funded research project involving a longitudinal study of the health outcomes of lonely and non-lonely late middle-aged adults. Conducts experiments involving the recording of physiological responses to a range of images and tasks. Recruits subjects and actively follows-up to ensure long-term participation. Trains and oversees undergraduate Research Assistants in data collection and data reduction; monitors integrity of data. Maintains records and arranges payment. Oversees and conducts data collection, data reduction and analysis. Prepares written and oral reports on project status and contributes to scientific discussion on the findings.
Bachelors’ degree in psychology or a related field required; experience in conducting research projects, particularly in a neuropsychological setting, preferred.
