Postdoctoral fellowships at UCLA. The UCLA Health Psychology Program invites applications for NIMH postdoctoral fellowships in Biobehavioral Issues in Physical and Mental Health to begin June or September 2007. Typical length of the fellowship is two years. The primary goal of our program is to train research scientists in the development and use of basic theories and research in psychology to elucidate issues in mental and physical health and their interrelationships. Program faculty in Psychology and other departments include nearly 40 researchers with expertise in: psychobiological bases of health and illness including psychoneuroimmunology; stress, coping, social support processes; health behavior change; and ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on health. Core faculty are Profs. Chris Dunkel Schetter (Director), Julie Bower, Traci Mann, Hector Myers, Rena Repetti, Annette Stanton (Co-Director), Ted Robles, and Shelley Taylor. We seek U.S. residents with Ph.D.s from APA-accredited programs in any area of psychology. Underrepresented minorities are especially encouraged to apply. See our webpage:
