UNIVERSITY OF SUSSEX--School of Business, Management, and Economics
We are looking to hire faculty at the Assistant Professor (Lecturer) and Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer/Reader) levels for tenure-track positions in the Organisational Behaviour and Employment Studies area group within the Department of Business and Management. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. or equivalent in Business, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology, Sociology, or a related discipline. Excellent candidates with an outstanding research profile in any area are invited to apply. However, we are especially looking to recruit candidates who complement or expand our existing strengths in leadership, social identity, diversity, culture, and international business. Individuals whose research relates to: negotiation, intergroup relations, social identity, leadership and power, social justice, ethics and morality, international business, or culture are especially encouraged to apply.
The University offers competitive salaries, outstanding employee benefits, and superior facilities. The School of Business, Management, and Economics is currently divided into three departments, Business and Management, Economics, and Science and Technology Policy Research (SPRU). The School is housed in a brand new, state-of-the-art, modern facility. The university is nestled in the wooded South Downs surrounding Brighton, England--a vibrant, cosmopolitan city of 300,000 located on the picturesque south coast of England. There are several universities in the area, in addition to a vibrant arts, music, and culinary scene. Brighton’s train station is less than one hour from central London, and only 30 minutes from London Gatwick airport, providing easy access to the capital and the world.
The deadline for applications is January 7, 2013 for positions beginning in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2013. The Ph.D. should be completed by the starting date. The University of Sussex is a highly selective institution of higher learning and is consistently ranked in the top 15 among British universities and the top 100 among world universities. For full details and how to apply, interested applicants should visit our website: http://www.sussex.ac.uk/aboutus/jobs/888-889.
