All of us who teach college courses know that textbook prices have “gone through the roof” in recent years, causing resentment throughout academia. As a longtime textbook author, I decided to revise the sixth edition of my “Social Psychology” textbook with a publisher who would sell it at about one-third of its fifth edition price while still printing it in a hardcover, four-color format and still offering the same ancillary package.
