Research Fellow

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position in the School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. The successful applicant will work directly with Dr. Kimberly Quinn on a project investigating moderators of social categorization and person construal. The primary activities will be to conduct experiments using reaction-time paradigms and functional MRI, to analyse data, and to write presentations and journal articles. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in experimental psychology; a Ph.D. in social psychology, cognitive psychology or cognitive neuroscience, and experience with or interest in fMRI, are desirable.

Maximum starting salary £24,161 a year, in the range of £24,161 to £31,525 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £33,465 a year). This position is available for a period of 34 months.
