| Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Psychology | | | | | | | Columbia College Chicago is seeking an entry-level Social, International/Cultural or Community Psychology Generalist with a completed Ph.D. for a tenure-track position in the Liberal Education Department. The candidate should be able to teach in three or more of the following areas at the undergraduate level: social, community, cultural, critical or positive psychology; psychology and the arts; research methods. Research interests are open, but candidates whose scholarship works well within an arts and media context are particularly encouraged to apply. The Liberal Education Department is responsible for providing courses in history, the social sciences, the humanities and foreign languages and offers an interdisciplinary Cultural Studies major (http://culturalstudies.colum.edu/) and minors in Latino Studies, Women and Gender Studies, and Black World Studies. Responsibilities include: a 3/3 teaching load, scholarship, professional activity, and service to the college and community. Some teaching experience at the undergraduate level is required. Review of applications begins October 16, 2006 and the deadline for receipt of applications is November 15, 2006. The successful candidate will begin in Fall of 2007.
