TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGIST - with an active research program; able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels related to Social Psychology as well as General Psychology and/or methodology courses. We encourage candidates with research expertise in ANY AREA OF SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY to apply.

Other duties include advising students, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, supervising masters’ theses and independent study projects, and participating in departmental and college activities.

PhD in Social Psychology by time of appointment is required. Must be committed to excellent teaching and show research promise and/or accomplishment. In addition to the standard teaching load (3 courses / semester) and research demands, faculty contribute to the College community through a variety of service options. SUNY New Paltz, a highly selective public university, is located in the historic town of New Paltz in the scenic Hudson Valley, less than two hours from New York City.
