The American University of Paris (AUP) invites applications for two full-time positions in a new Psychology Department at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin fall semester 2007. Qualifications for both positions include: a Ph.D. in psychology; enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching in an international and multilingual context; a record of scholarly publications and ability to pursue high-quality academic research; ability to engage undergraduate students in research.
For position 1: expertise in social psychology with a strong interest and proven research record in cross-cultural issues
For position 2: area of expertise open, except for clinical psychology; special attention will be given to applicants who have expertise in industrial and organizational psychology or psycholinguistics
Fluent English and some French is required for both positions; additional language mastery is a strong plus.
The successful candidate will be expected to create and teach undergraduate courses, supervise undergraduate research, and maintain an active research program in his/her area of expertise. Moreover, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of the Psychology Department.
