The position is open with respect to disciplines and areas of research relating to scholarship on public and nonprofit organizations and processes. Preference will be given to scholars who have demonstrated the potential to make significant research contributions relevant to the analysis of the politics and management of public policies and organizations. Qualified applicants must hold a doctoral degree or its equivalent by July 1, 2007. The School realizes that the study of public and nonprofit management draws on many social science disciplines. The School, therefore, encourages those trained in any of a variety of perspectives – political science, social psychology, sociology, or economics -- to apply. All members of the School's faculty are expected to teach in the core curriculum. The School particularly seeks applications from those with interests in teaching its core masters courses. The School expects to appoint an individual broadly conversant with the social and behavioral sciences and who will engage with an intellectually diverse faculty.
