Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to quality, innovative undergraduate liberal arts teaching, and an active research program. Applicants at the Full or Associate Professor rank should have a nationally recognized program of research and a record of external funding. The successful candidate will join a five-person program with faculty in clinical/counseling, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and neuroscience. The successful candidate would also act as a partner in interdisciplinary studies with other fields in the humanities, social and life sciences, especially sociology and biology. We are especially interested in individuals engaged in areas such as social neuroscience, social cognition or social factors in psychopathology and who have a broad grasp of traditional areas such as attitudes, stereotypes, and social influence. It is expected that the individual will teach introductory courses, courses at the intermediate and advanced levels, a laboratory course, as well as statistics and/or research methods and supervise undergraduate research. A record of significant research accomplishment at the associate level and a research program of considerable promise at the assistant level are required.
