Entry Level Organizational Development Position Available

Learning as Leadership is a unique organizational consulting company focusing on the unconscious mechanisms that impede effective leadership. Through a process of seminars, personal coaching, 360 feedback and consulting, LaL supports participants to identify behavior patterns and ego mechanisms that contribute to ineffective leadership, lack of results and breakdowns in collaboration. We help leaders, teams and companies identify and truly change recurring counter-productive behaviors and cultural trends, including conflict-avoidance, Us vs. Them dynamics, aversion to feedback and criticism, and working tactically/fire-fighting.

The Learning as Leadership programs are not designed exclusively for organizations and teams, but also include individuals, families and couples.

We are interested in hiring 1-2 feedback collectors to complement our 360 feedback team. Prior to a participant’s first seminar, we conduct a comprehensive round of phone interviews with 6-10 important stakeholders in that person’s life, from both the professional and personal realm, to take stock of their counterproductive behaviors, business and personal challenges, team dynamics, and next leadership level.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:
· Conducting feedback interviews
· Synthesizing the written material into a compilation
· Extensive training in our feedback collection process (including training in the LaL methodology)
· When not doing 360 feedback related activities, there will be administrative tasks including: database entry, filing, answering phones, scheduling appointments, seminar preparation

Below are a few of the essential characteristics we are looking for:
· A full-time, onsite employee (see below for location of office)
· Bachelor's degree (minimally), preferably in Psychology
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word
· Good communication skills, energetic and enthusiastic
· Business acumen and strong writing skills are a plus

In short, the interviewer will need to have skills to:
· Help the interviewee specify their thoughts without making assumptions about what they want to express
· Have a structured mind to organize the information into themes and sub-themes

Hours & Salary:
We are a small staff of approximately fifteen; we are passionate about what we do and about making a difference in organizations and people’s lives. It is very essential for us that our employees share this passion, and that they are in a true learning process about their own counterproductive behaviors and unconscious obstacles. If you are primarily motivated by making money (and we have no judgments about that), then this is not the right place. If on the other hand, you feel intrigued by our work and you would like a job with a strong sense of purpose, then this can be a very fulfilling job.
· Business hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm
· Salary begins at 25,000 per year. Benefits include health and dental coverage. You will also have the unique opportunity of attending our four different personal development programs, free-of-charge and as a full participant, for your own learning process and to familiarize you with our methodology.

Selection process:
Our selection process is also a bit unusual, in that there are two distinct phases. First, we will conduct one - two extensive interviews (preferably in person, but by phone if necessary) . If, at that point, it seems like a potential match, we will train candidates onsite, in our office during a two-week period. This will be unpaid time, as we are very tight with resources, and the person who will be conducting the training will not be working during this time. This training has invariably proved to be a useful experience for candidates, even if we decide it is not a match. At the end of these two weeks, if we both feel it is an appropriate fit, then we will hire candidates full time.
We are looking for candidates as soon as possible, so please contact us if you are interested.
