POSTDOCTORAL APPOINTMENT: HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY
Health, Emotion, & Behavior Laboratory
Department of Psychology, Yale University

The Health, Emotion, and Behavior (HEB) Laboratory anticipates an opening for a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Psychology at Yale University to begin on or about July 1st, 2006 for two years. Continuation is possible pending available funds. Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and writing up findings from health studies, but may also include other research projects depending on the interests of the candidate. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in health or social psychology or a related field, a desire to work with and manage a team of researchers, and a willingness to take the lead on analyzing data and writing manuscripts for publication. Our current research focuses on health cognition, communication, and behavior, as well as emotions and emotional skills. Recent studies aim to promote cancer prevention and early detection behaviors.
