Social Psychology: The Department of Psychology and Social Psychology Program at Texas Tech University invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at competitive salary beginning Fall, 2000. Successful candidates will have completed the doctorate by Sept., 2000, and will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses effectively, conduct publishable and fundable research, supervise students, and provide service to the University. Specialty areas open; preference given to those whose interests complement incumbent faculty. An ability and interest in teaching courses in graduate-level statistics, biopsychology or developmental is an asset.

The Psychology Department has 27 full-time faculty and doctoral programs in social, cognition, applied cognition, and human factors, as well as APA-accredited clinical and counseling psychology programs. There are 100 graduate students and 670 undergraduate majors. Texas Tech University is a Research II Institution located adjacent to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Lubbock has a population of about 200,000 people with a pleasant climate and a low cost of living.
