The American University of Paris (AUP) invites applications for a full time position in a new Psychology department at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin the fall semester 2006. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology; a record of scholarly publications and ability to pursue high quality academic research; enthusiasm for undergraduate teaching in an international and multilingual context; the ability to engage undergraduate students in research. Preferred expertise in social psychology and/or multicultural issues. However, candidates with other expertise, except clinical psychology, are also invited to apply. Fluent English is required and some French with other languages is a strong plus.
The successful candidate will assist in the further creation of the Psychology department and will implement research projects. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in social psychology, cross-cultural psychology and introductory psychology and to implement and teach new courses.
