The School of Psychology at the University of Wales, Bangor, UK, seeks to recruit a scientist in the area of Social and/or Personality Psychology, at the level of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor. The successful candidate will have a PhD and a proven track record of research output. They will be expected to maintain an active research programme including grant support, and to teach in the area of Social and/or Personality Psychology.

The School is recognised as among the leading Psychology departments in Europe, having the highest possible research rating (RAE 5*A) and the highest possible teaching rating (Excellent). There are opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in cognitive neuroscience, child development, and clinical and health psychology. The School has extensive neuroscience facilities, including ERP, TMS, and fMRI. It manages a local nursery and has good working relationships with local schools. It is has close links (including sharing buildings) with the Institute for Medical and Social Care Research and the North Wales Clinical School. The University itself is located in North Wales between the mountains and the sea in an area of outstanding beauty, yet within easy access by road and rail of major cities and airports.
