UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO – TWO POSITIONS IN PERSONALITY, ABNORMAL OR DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto has two tenure stream position openings to commence July 1, 2006. The Department expects to hire at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. One of these positions is linked to the Canada Research Chair program and the successful applicant would be nominated for a Canada Research Chair (Tier II). We invite applications from outstanding academics; one position will be in developmental psychology and the other in abnormal and/or personality psychology. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain active, externally funded programs of research and be committed to both undergraduate and graduate education. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Toronto is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the world and the university shares in that diversity. The University of Toronto is strongly committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from visible minority group members, women, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities, members of sexual minority groups and others who may contribute to further diversification of ideas. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Interested applicants should submit a CV, a statement of research interests, copies of representative publications, and 3 letters of recommendation to PA/D Search Committee, Department of Psychology, St. George Campus, 100 St. George St. Rm. 4023, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario M5S 3G3. Potential applicants may visit www.psych.utoronto.ca or contact Professor Franco J. Vaccarino, Chair, for additional information. Information about the Canadian Research Chair program is available at www.chairs.gc.ca. We will begin reviewing applications on October 31, 2005 and continue until the positions are filled.
