The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor in the area of Personality/Social beginning Fall, 2006. We are looking for a Ph.D. Psychologist to join our 10 member department serving almost 400 psychology majors. We are dedicated to providing undergraduate students with an outstanding education in the science of psychology. Candidates should be prepared to teach Social Psychology, Concepts of Personality, Introduction to Statistics in Psychology, and Non-Experimental Research Methods. Teaching load is four courses per semester, although research and administrative-based course reductions are possible. An active research program is expected.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology with a specialization in Social/Personality from an accredited university by August, 2006. Please send a curriculum vita, a statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence (eg., teaching evaluations, observations, portfolios, syllabi, projects), a clear description of an ongoing and future research program, representative research papers, and three letters of reference to: Psychology Department Search Committee -- Social/Personality, Quinnipiac University, CL-AC1, Hamden, CT 06518. Review of materials will begin on November 1, 2005. All materials must be received by November 28.
