SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, ST. CLOUD STATE UNIVERSITY invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning Fall 2005.

SCSU is located approximately 70 miles northwest of Minneapolis, in a rapidly growing community. We seek applicants with demonstrated ability to teach social psychology courses in the psychology undergraduate program and in the industrial-organizational psychology master’s program (up to four course sections per semester with reassigned time possible for scholarly and program-related activities). Courses may include but are not limited to: social psychology, advanced social psychology (I-O program), topical seminar (undergraduate and graduate), environmental psychology, prosocial behavior, aggression, motivation & emotion, introductory psychology, lab, methodology, and health psychology. The faculty member will also engage in continuing preparation and study, advise students and facilitate their growth, engage in scholarly and community service activities and serve on committees.

A Ph.D. in social psychology by the time of appointment is required. Successful applicants will have demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons of culturally diverse backgrounds.
