The Department of Management and Organizations at the Stern School of Business, New York University, is looking to hire a post-doctoral fellow for academic years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007. Responsibilities include managing our behavioral lab and teaching one 3-credit course each year. Candidates should have their dissertation defended by September 2005 and must demonstrate strong potential in both research and teaching.
The Management and Organizations Department at Stern is diverse and inter-disciplinary, and has long been recognized for its research and scholarship. It consistently ranks among the top schools in terms of research productivity in leading journals. Its members are Juan Alcacer, Cameron Anderson, Caroline Bartel, Steven Blader, Sally Blount-Lyon, Gino Cattani, Gina Dokko, Roger Dunbar, Christina Fang, Richard Freedman, Raghu Garud, Ari Ginsberg, Michelle Gittelman, Gregory Janicik, Aimee Kane, Robert Lamb, Theresa Lant, Anat Lechner, Steven Mezias, Frances Milliken, Elizabeth Morrison (chair), Goncalo Pacheco-de-Almeida, Joseph Porac, Jeffrey Robinson, Melissa Schilling, Zur Shapira, William Starbuck, Sheila Wellington, Batia Wiesenfeld, and Amy Wrzesniewski. The following individuals have affiliated appointments in the department: Adam Brandenburger (economics), Luis Cabral (economics), Doug Guthrie(sociology), Joseph Magee (Wagner School of Public Service), and Bernie Yeung (economics). As well, the department has close ties with the Department of Psychology (e.g., Peter Carnevale, Madeline Heilman, John Jost, Tom Tyler).
