The ideal candidate’s specialization will be in social or cognitive psychology, although closely related specializations will be considered. Innovative and inspiring teaching and course development are essential to the position. The new faculty member primarily will teach psychology courses as part of program that serves psychology majors and students from a variety of academic majors. The successful candidate will engage in independent and collaborative scholarship that involves undergraduates. Being a small department and university, we balance research and teaching while working with outstanding students. The university's recent and continued growth demonstrates our appeal and value to students preparing for graduate and professional education. The advertised postion is a new position in our department which complements the expertise of the existing psychology faculty. This arrangement should aid collaboration between faculty and development of a unique perspective for the department.
