The University of Kent at Canterbury, UK, invites applications for two Lectureships in Psychology. The Department's Social Psychology group was awarded the highest possible grade by the 2001 UK research assessment exercise, representing research of top international quality in experimental social psychology. Applicants should support the department's strengths in one or more areas of psychology. The primary responsibilities of the new lecturers will be to establish research of international standing and to contribute to teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The University and the Department of Psychology are committed to providing a supportive environment for top-class research, and will provide successful candidates with all appropriate facilities.

Canterbury is just over 2 hours by train from Paris and an hour and a half from London. The major international airports (London City, Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted) are within 1 and a half hours drive, and there is a local airport (Manston) within 20 minutes drive.

Applications should be addressed to The Personnel Office, Room 121, Registry, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NZ, or submitted by email: Personnel@kent.ac.uk. Note that we do not require letters of recommendation, only contact details of references. Closing date for receipt of completed applications: 12 noon, Tuesday 14 December 2004.
