Job Type: Tenure-Track
Contact Person: Christopher Parker

Faculty Position. The Department of Psychology at Northern Illinois University anticipates making a tenure track appointment in social psychology for Fall 2005 at the rank of assistant professor. Desirable candidates will have a program of research in a basic area of social psychology. However, because the successful applicant will join a joint social and industrial/organizational program, applicants who are willing and able to contribute to both training areas will be especially desirable. Requirements include the Ph.D. in psychology, evidence of scholarly productivity commensurate with experience, potential to establish and maintain an independent program of research, and evidence of quality teaching experience/potential. Successful candidates will be expected to supervise dissertations and theses, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, actively seek extramural support for their research program, and serve as a role model for Ph.D. students in a program that values research, teaching, and service. A letter of application, curriculum vita, three letters of recommendation, and reprints/preprints should be sent to Dr. Chris Parker, Department of Psychology, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL 60115. For full consideration, the above materials must be received by January 1, 2005. AA/EEO institution.
