We seek a candidate with broad-ranging interests and the imagination to engage seriously other disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The successful applicant will teach five courses per year, including introduction to social psychology or introduction to psychology; and an interdisciplinary seminar for first-year students. Ph.D. in psychology must be completed by September 1, 2005. College/university teaching experience is preferred. This position is in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, which offers a broad-based liberal arts program with considerable cross-disciplinary support and interaction, so interest in other scholarly fields beyond psychology is desirable. The successful candidate will have opportunities for interaction with other psychologists at the Claremont Colleges. Salary is competitive.
