The Department of Psychology offers the baccalaureate degree and the doctorate in Clinical, Developmental, and Social Psychology. The first position is a tenure-track faculty appointment in Social Psychology at the assistant professor level. Although area of expertise is open, candidates with expertise in program evaluation, health promotion and/or multicultural psychology are particularly encouraged to apply, as well as applicants who can contribute to LUC’s interdisciplinary programs in Asian, Black World, or Latin American Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach and mentor at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Appropriate academic and professional qualifications include an earned doctorate in psychology and a record of (or clear potential for) distinguished scholarship, grant-funded research, and student mentorship. The second position is a 3-year (possibility of renewal), non-tenure track instructor opportunity. Area of expertise is open, but the ability to teach some combination of the following courses would be expected: Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Gender, Research Methods, Health Psychology, Learning and Behavior, and/or Psychology of Language. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses each semester. Appropriate academic and professional qualifications include an earned doctorate in psychology and a record of (or clear potential for) distinguished teaching and student mentorship.
