The appointment requires that the Ph.D. be received by August 30, 2005. We are especially interested in applicants with a research emphasis in psychology and law, social influence, group dynamics, or health psychology, broadly defined, as those would complement our departmental strengths, but all areas of social psychology are welcome to apply. Teaching and research are important, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research, develop a productive research program, and attempt to secure external funding. Teaching may involve both on- and off-campus courses. Laramie is a small University town close to the Medicine Bow Mountains (12,000 ft.), which provide outdoor recreation, while the community and University host concerts, art exhibitions, and dance and theater productions. It is also an easy drive to Denver, Boulder, or Ft. Collins, CO. Review of applicants will begin on December 1, 2004.
