The Psychology Department at Washington and Lee University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of health/clinical psychology. Competitive applicants will demonstrate their commitment to undergraduate instruction and the active involvement of undergraduates in research. We are especially interested in individuals whose research examines the role of psychological factors in the development, treatment, or prevention of disease (e.g. eating disorders, addiction, stress and adjustment, or the promotion of health-related behaviors). The particular topic and the approach of the research (e.g., social/cognitive, behavioral, physiological, etc.) are open. The successful candidate will be expected to teach personality and abnormal psychology, co-teach parts of the research methods and analysis sequence, and teach courses in their area of expertise. In addition to a current CV, three letters of recommendation and representative reprints, applicants should provide evidence of teaching effectiveness and the potential to develop a successful research program that involves undergraduates.
