The Department of Psychology at the University of Alberta has a tenure-track opening effective July 1, 2005 for an entry level scholar at the rank of Assistant Professor who will contribute to the area of Social and Cultural Psychology. Applicants' area of research should be in Social Psychology and/or Cultural Psychology, with the PhD completed by July 1, 2005. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of studies in psychology and culture, applicants whose background is in disciplines other than psychology will also be considered. Hiring decisions for this position will be made on the basis of demonstrated research capabilities, teaching ability, the potential for interdisciplinary collaboration, and fit with departmental needs.
