The successful applicant will carry out research on an ESRC-funded project pertaining to implicit self-cognition. Applicants are expected to hold a PhD in experimental social psychology and have a strong background in Social Cognition, with a particular emphasis on implicit cognition. Expertise in the area of Self and Identity is desirable but not necessary. Applicants are also expected to have had training in multivariate statistics, computer experimentation, as well as extensive experience in conducting laboratory research. The post is full-time and fixed term. The preferred starting date is the 1 October 2004, although the starting date is flexible up to January 2005. Salary will be in the range of £18,893 to £28,279 per annum (on Research grade 1A salary scale).
