The successful candidate will have a strong research programme, teaching experience, expertise in experimental and correlational research, and methodological and statistical sophistication. The successful candidate will be expected to complement and strengthen existing research interests (in motivation, relationships, and group processes) within the Centre for Research on Self and Identity. The University of Southampton was ranked among the top 10 UK institutions for research excellence over the past five years, and the School of Psychology is one of the largest in the UK, with an international reputation in all areas of research activity. Salary will be in the range £22,954 - £34,838. This is a permanent appointment commencing in 1 September 2004.
