Applicants should possess or be near completion of a Ph.D, and have experience in teaching at the undergraduate level. Historically a university of the Lutheran church (ELCIC) and a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), Augustana is currently negotiating and planning for its incorporation into the University of Alberta, effective 1 July 2004, as a faculty whose primary focus would be high-quality undergraduate teaching in a collegial, small-campus setting. Augustana encourages applications from individuals who will share that commitment to teaching and program renewal at what is expected to be a time of tremendous opportunity.
