A position as Professor of Personality and Social Psychology, ref. no.986/04
The professorship is in the area of personality and social psychology, strongly oriented toward differential psychology, questions of how similarities and differences between individuals are organized and interact functionally, and how the individual perceives and interacts with his/her social environment.
The position is a tenured one at the Department of Psychology, Lund University and includes assignment as Director of the Division of Personality and Social Psychology.
Documentation of a high level of scientific and teaching skills is required in order to qualify for the position, which includes research, teaching, supervision of Ph.D. students, academic leadership, development of the curriculum, and administrative and leadership assignments at the Department.
To qualify for the position, a candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop and lead research and research projects, together with a high level both of scholarly and of research proficiency as viewed in international terms. Special importance is attached to the supervision of Ph.D. students and the ability to develop and lead research jointly with other researchers. To be successful, a candidate should also have the ability to interact with society at large.
