HARVEY MUDD COLLEGE, a highly selective college of science and engineering and one of the Claremont Colleges, seeks to appoint a VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY for 2004-05 who is interested in issues pertaining to ethnic minorities in the U.S. The teaching load is four courses per year including an interdisciplinary freshman seminar of the candidate’s own design and courses in area of specialization. Ph.D. in psychology and teaching experience desired. We will also consider qualified ABDs and lessen the teaching load accordingly. The position is in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, which offers a broad-based liberal arts program, and the appointee will enjoy significant interactions with psychologists and ethnic studies faculty at the other Claremont Colleges.
