Post Doctoral Fellowships at Northwestern University

There are two different post doctoral fellowships at Northwestern University for 2004: one is in dispute resolution and negotiation at Kellogg, and one is in dispute resolution and negotiation joint between Kellogg and the Law School. You may apply for one or both with a single application.

All applications must be hard copy and accompanied by a completed application form, and should include a vita, examples of written work, two letters of recommendation, and a statement as to how current or future research interests would benefit from association with the DRRC. The deadline to receive applications is February 15, 2004. Decisions will be announced around April 15, 2004.

DRRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship

This fellowship is a two-year position. Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in a social science discipline prior to beginning the fellowship, and should have a research, rather than a clinical focus. The fellowship pays $61,500 per year plus benefits. Fellows will be provided $5,000 per year in research support and are encouraged to pursue their own research. Fellows will participate in Kellogg's internship program for the negotiations course, and then will be assigned to teach 3 sections of the course per year. Fellows are also invited to join in the ongoing research of faculty associated with the Center, audit courses, and participate in the Center's scholarly and applied seminars and workshops.

Joint Law School/Kellogg Post-Doctoral Fellowship

This fellowship is a two-year position. Applicants must have completed a J.D. and a Ph.D. in a social science discipline prior to beginning the fellowship, and should have a research, rather than clinical focus. The fellowship pays $61,500 per year plus benefits. Fellows will be provided $5,000 per year in research support and are encouraged to pursue their own research. Fellows will participate in Kellogg's internship program for the negotiations course, and then will be assigned to teach 3 sections of the course per year at the School of Law or Kellogg. Fellows are also invited to join in the ongoing research of faculty associated with the Center and the School of Law, audit courses, and participate in both the Center's and the School of Law's seminars and workshops.
