The Department of Psychology and the Institute for Policy Research of Northwestern University invite applications for a 50% position as a Tenured Associate or early stage Full Professor of Psychology and a 50% position as Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Policy Research. We seek a scholar with an outstanding record of scholarly publication and externally-funded research, with interests linking research to policy. Although substantive field remains open, possible areas of concentration include the study of child development and the family; the social psychology of poverty, race, gender, and inequality; the prevention of negative social behaviors; interactions between social relations, biology, and health; decision making and risk assessment; and memory as related to issues such as child abuse. The appointment carries a renewable one-half reduction in teaching responsibilities.
