The Department of Life Sciences, University of Toronto at Scarborough, invites applications for a tenure-stream position in social psychology with a focus on culture. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent and demonstrated excellence in research and evidence of strong potential for excellence in teaching. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong research program and to take an active role in graduate and undergraduate teaching, including teaching a course in culture and psychology. Interested candidates should submit a curriculum vita, including statements of research and teaching interests, with a copy of recent reprints, and arrange to have three letters of recommendation commenting on publications, research potential and teaching ability sent from referees. The materials should be sent to Professor John M. Kennedy, Chair, Department of Life Sciences, University of Toronto at Scarborough, 1265 Military Trail, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada M1C1A4. The closing date for applications is December 19, 2003. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. The position will be effective July 1, 2004.
