University of California, Irvine. Assistant Professor, Psychopathology and Behavior Disorder

The Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track position in psychopathology and behavior disorder at the level of Assistant Professor. The particular area of research is open, but the candidate's substantive interests should complement and extend those of the developmental, social, clinical, forensic, health, personality, or cultural psychologists in the department. Research experience with psychosocial interventions in families, schools, hospitals, or other community settings is desirable. Candidates for this position must have a strong record of research and demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching. The ability to teach advanced statistical methods (e.g., structural equation modeling or multi-level modeling) would be desirable, but not required. The department does not offer training in clinical psychology but has a graduate program concentration in psychopathology and behavioral disorder. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, and representative pre-prints/reprints, and should arrange to have three letters sent to: Chair, Psychopathology/Behavioral Disorder Search Committee, Department of Psychology and Social Behavior, 3340 Social Ecology II, University of California, Irvine, 92697-7085. To ensure consideration, application files must be complete by December 19, 2003. The University of California has an active career partner program, is an equal opportunity employer committed to excellence through diversity, and has a National Science Foundation ADVANCE Gender Equity Program.
