TEMPORARY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OR VISITING FACULTY IN SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a one-year position in social psychology for the 2004-05 academic year. Faculty in our social psychology program focus on a wide range of theory and research, including social cognition, personality and social behavior, interpersonal relationships, attitude formation and change, intergroup relations, social psychology and the law, political psychology, decision-making and health behavior, stress and coping, tactical and strategic communication, pro-social action and civic participation, and interpersonal conflict. Laboratories feature more than 20 experimental rooms complete with two closed-circuit videotape systems, intercom systems, one-way vision screens, and state-of-the-art computers for conducting reaction time experiments. Candidates are expected to contribute to both the undergraduate and graduate curriculum in social psychology. Teaching responsibilities will include lectures, seminars, and individualized instruction. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in psychology by August 1, 2004, and undergraduate teaching experience.
