Verlin Hinsz is seeking a research associate to collaborate on federally-funded research involving social-organizational psychology topics. This two year position offers competitive salary (continuation contingent on grant renewal). Research topics focus on group performance on cognitive tasks. Minimum qualifications include a strong potential to contribute to research on the selected topics, skill in conducting research on social and/or organizational psychology topics, ability to interact effectively with staff, undergraduate and graduate students, effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. A completed Ph.D. is preferred, however, applications from individuals very near completion of a Ph.D. will be considered. Other preferred qualifications include first-authored publications, interest and experience with research on motivated behavior in organizational psychology, and a history of successful completion of complicated research in laboratory and field settings.

This position will be with the Department of Psychology at North Dakota State University (see our website: http://www.ndsu.nodak.edu/ndsu/psychology/index.html). Our 14-member Department has recently established a Ph.D. program in Health & Social Psychology. Excellent resources and support for conducting the research are available. Visiting scholars find our department to be unusually collegial and friendly.
