| Social Psychology Open Rank Tenure-Track Position | | | | | | | The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for a faculty position (Open Rank) in Social Psychology. All substantive themes within the subdiscipline will be considered. The Social area seeks to maintain strengths across core themes (such as, but not limited to: emotion, culture, motivation, social cognition, interpersonal and intergroup relations) but recognizes social psychology as a hub-science making contributions to adjacent areas of academic inquiry and addressing real-world problems. Expertise, breadth, and innovation in methodological approaches will also be considered. This is a tenure-track university year appointment. The expected start date is August 25, 2025. Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline by the time the position starts and must demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentorship, including courses that address core area needs. New faculty hired at the Assistant Professor level will be expected to establish an independent research program.
