Job Description

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (http://www.umass.edu/pbs/) is inviting applications for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in its Social Psychology program, starting in Fall 2023.

We are seeking outstanding applicants with expertise in any area of social psychology, including interdisciplinary fields connected to social psychology, whose work complements and broadens existing strengths in our program. Additionally, the Department is interested in candidates who have demonstrated ability to contribute to the inclusive excellence and diversity mission of the department, college and university in research, teaching, and/or outreach.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Social Psychology or a closely related field
• An excellent record of research productivity that is currently grant-funded or has excellent promise of securing funding
• A strong record of publishing in high impact peer-reviewed journals
• A strong commitment to undergraduate education, graduate training and mentoring, and diversity and inclusion
