The Department of Psychology at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning fall 2023. While this is an open area position, we seek applicants with expertise in diverse identities, social justice and equity, with special consideration of applicants focused on race and ethnicity. This position is ideal for an innovative teacher who wishes to include undergraduate collaborators in a high-quality research program. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or expect to complete their Ph.D. by September, 2023 in a relevant field, a strong record of research scholarship, and experience teaching undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate inclusive pedagogical practices that advance SCU goals of diversity and equity, and provide evidence of experience teaching and mentoring a diverse population of undergraduate students. The candidate should be prepared to teach Research Methods, Statistics or Introductory Psychology, as well as additional courses in her/his/their area of expertise. Candidates should also have a strong program of research that has the potential to incorporate undergraduates as research assistants. This search is part of a cluster hire in Race, Inequality, and Social Justice taking place in multiple departments in the College of Arts and Sciences.
