The Engineering Leadership Program at Cornell University invites applications for two (2) faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice. Information about the Engineering Leadership Program appears at

The mission of the Engineering Leadership Program is to develop leaders who take on our world's biggest challenges with knowledge, skill, insight, and courage. We serve all College of Engineering undergraduate and graduate students with a variety of curricular and co-curricular offerings that combine rigorous, empirically derived knowledge; personal inquiry and reflection; and experimentation in the classroom and applied settings.

Our 10-year strategic priority is to have a measurable impact on the professional, interpersonal, and leadership skills of every College of Engineering student. To meet this goal we are adding two faculty positions at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, or Professor of Practice.

Responsibilities of the position include co-teaching in existing offerings including our flagship Engineering Leadership Certification Program and WE LEAD (Women’s Engineering Leadership Education and Development). Faculty will collaborate with the Executive Director to develop, deliver, and manage additional offerings that advance our strategic priorities. The position is a non-tenure-track role and is ideal for someone who has teaching, research, and professional experience and earned a Ph.D. degree but who prefers to focus on teaching and student development. Research is encouraged in the role but not required.

The successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications. Note that qualifications for the Professor of Practice position include distinguished professional experience and a record of practice-oriented instruction.

• Master’s degree or Doctorate (preferred) in organizational behavior, management, leadership, communication, psychology, or a related field
• Demonstrated teaching excellence in higher education or corporate professional development
• Coaching certification or experience is preferred
• A background in engineering or experience working in an engineering or technical academic or professional setting is preferred

The teaching responsibilities will be at the Cornell Ithaca campus.
