The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University, psychandneuro.duke.edu, invites applications for an Associate Professor (tenured) position in Social Psychology to begin Fall 2023.

We seek outstanding applicants with a nationally-recognized research program in Social Psychology (ideally externally funded). The specific research area is open. The ideal candidate will also be an effective teacher at the undergraduate and graduate levels and will supervise Ph.D. students as a member of the social graduate training program (and potentially other areas) in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience (P&N). The program benefits from fruitful connections with faculty colleagues in the Fuqua School of Business and the Sanford School of Public Policy. Duke offers a rich intellectual climate, and the faculty member could have additional affiliations with a number of centers and institutes, including Social Science Research Institute, Samuel Dubois Cook Center on Social Equity, Kenan Institute for Ethics, Duke Institute for Brain Sciences, Duke Population Research Institute, and others.

Applications should include a curriculum vitae, statements of research and teaching interests, three selected (p)reprints, and a statement describing any efforts you have made or plan to make to encourage diversity and inclusion in their research, teaching, or other academic activities. Contact information should be included for three references, who will only be contacted for candidates selected for further consideration. Upload the application online at academicjobsonline.org. Review of applications will begin on March 1, 2022 and continue until the position is filled. The start date for the position is July 1 or August 1, 2023. Inquiries can be sent to rhoyle@duke.edu.
