Its strengths are located broadly in the areas of applied cognitive psychology, clinical/health psychology, life span developmental psychology and social/organisational psychology. The School of Psychology is located in the Faculty of Social Sciences and has strong interdisciplinary links within and outside the university. Applications are invited for a full-time Lecturer position (Academic Level B) (equivalent to an Assistant Professor in the US), available from August 2002. This is a continuing position. Candidates' research and teaching interests and expertise should be in the area of mainstream empirical social psychology. Other essential criteria include a PhD in psychology (completed or submitted); evidence of capacity to teach effectively at undergraduate or postgraduate levels; evidence of research productivity in area of specialisation; capacity to supervise students and develop links with experienced researchers in the School; and publication in refereed journals.
