California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) invites applications for a cluster hire of faculty with demonstrated records of success in teaching, research, and/or service with anti-racism and the experiences of Black/African American communities. The positions begin Fall 2022 and are open rank (Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor).
We seek faculty candidates who have a pro-active commitment to curriculum or pedagogy that address systemic racism, anti-racism, or the experiences of Black communities in the U.S. Although this call is multidisciplinary, the hired faculty may have a joint-appointment or affiliated status with Africana Studies, or they may collaborate from within the hiring department. The open faculty positions are in Africana Studies, Anthropology, Chemistry, Chicana/o Studies, Health Sciences, Performing Arts-Theater, Political Science, and Psychology.
